The purpose of Honor Flight Northwest Georgia is to fly our local Bartow County veterans to Washington, DC, to visit those memorials that have been dedicated to honor their sacrifices. Top priority is given to America’s most senior veterans – Survivors of WW II.

We need to raise a tremendous amount of money in a very short period of time in order to make this tour. The response from the community so far has been fantastic.

Funds raised will be used to pay for the chartered planes, ground transportation, supplies and food for the veterans. We hope to raise the needed funds from both the local business community and with donations from individuals who would like to honor our veterans.

• Approximately 1,200 World War II (WWII) veterans die each day.
• Sky-rocketing healthcare costs have wiped out the life savings of most WWII veterans and their spouses.
• Veterans of WWII have waited over 60 years for a memorial most of them will never live to see.
